Job Title

The Area Business Group Manager role is responsible for leading the operational delivery of a Building Engineering Services (BES) Business Group across Australia. As a business leader, you will manage operations and performance across market sectors and business units, driving sustainable growth.

You will champion the BES Business Group, promoting its vision and values. You will lead as a member of the Australian Leadership Team and provide direct line management and leadership to senior staff, fostering a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and drive financial performance, including bookings, revenue, and profit.
  • Routinely monitor progress of business strategies and adjust strategies as required.
  • Proactively manage project and business risks, ensuring challenges are identified and addressed.
  • Drive continuous improvement in operational processes and procedures.
Requirements:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification and professional registration.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience within consulting engineering, including senior leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial management, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Experience owning and growing a P&L for an engineering cost centre.
  • Strong experience leading cross-functional teams and fostering a collaborative culture.
