Community Mental Health Specialist

A rewarding opportunity exists for an experienced mental health clinician to join our dedicated team at Austin Health, delivering high-quality care to young people experiencing a first episode of psychosis.
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior Clinician to provide intensive outreach services, working closely with the YEPS multidisciplinary team to offer holistic and recovery-orientated case management.
About the Role- Deliver high-quality care for a small clinical caseload, consulting and liaising with organisations as required.
- Provide direct service in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of young people and families, utilising individualised approaches and selected treatment modalities.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation and data entry, adhering to ICYMHS standards and professional requirements.
- A relevant professional qualification in a health-related discipline (social work, occupational therapy, psychology, psychiatric nursing, or speech pathology) and current registration with the relevant professional board.
- Minimum years of clinical experience for a senior role according to the Enterprise Agreement, specifically in working with children and young people within a tertiary mental health setting.
- Experience in developing individualised service plans for mental health case management and therapeutic treatment of young people and their families/carers.
