Laboratory Research Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Laboratory Research Coordinator to join our team at the University of New South Wales.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and control reagent inventory, stock levels and ordering, and coordinate maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Assist with the coordination of research activities and provide research support including making reagents, setting up experiments, cell culture, explants, sample collection and animal monitoring.
- Assist with the processing of clinical trial samples and assist with ethics applications/amendments and annual/progress reporting.
- Work as a team to ensure experiments proceed in a timely manner and meet milestones including time management and prioritisation of competing tasks.
- Bachelor of Science with Honours, or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through a combination of education, training and laboratory research experience.
- Experience working in a research laboratory, with essential skills in cancer cell/tissue culture such as plate based growth assays, with additional skills in related laboratory techniques including mouse work preferred but not essential.
- Demonstrate attention to detail in data entry, cross referencing against project deliverables to ensure accuracy.
- Experience working with a range of computer systems and applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and GraphPad Prism.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
The successful applicant will have access to a competitive salary package, including a base salary of AU$78,584 - AU$82,897 per annum, plus 17% superannuation and leave loading. They will also be part of a dynamic and supportive team environment, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
