Job Description

Immediate start for a Corporate Governance Associate is available.

The role of the Corporate Governance Associate plays a crucial part in supporting corporate governance activities, ensuring that processes align with legislation, objectives and policies.

This position reports to the Senior Corporate Governance Officer and does not have direct reports. The associate will be responsible for conducting research, developing and administering complex Corporate Governance projects such as the Corporate Governance Framework.

Key responsibilities include reviewing, analysing and developing corporate policies and procedures, and delivering training to enhance employees' understanding of legislative obligations.

Effective management of incoming requests and enquiries from internal stakeholders relating to corporate governance matters is also essential.

Advice will be provided to internal stakeholders about legislation, policy and procedures, while research, report preparation and recommendations to the executive team will be undertaken as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential qualifications include knowledge and ability to interpret legislation in a government setting, ideally backed by a qualification in business, politics or related discipline. A recent police check is mandatory.
