About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our friendly and supportive team at Juniper Rowethorpe Catering site in Bentley.

The purpose of this role is to prepare high-quality, nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements, working within a team of catering staff and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food that meets our high standards
  • Clean cooking areas and equipment to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Maintain safe food hygiene practices to ensure the well-being of our residents
  • Manage resources, including ordering and stock control, to optimize our food services
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to staff as required, promoting a positive and supportive team environment
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational, Safety, and Health requirements, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our facility
Key Requirements
  • Trade certificate or equivalent qualification, with a Certificate 3 in Commercial Cooking desirable
  • Experience in commercial cooking environments and/or aged care catering, with a strong understanding of Food Safe Plus practices and Hygiene standards
  • Current knowledge of quality system requirements and relevant aged and resident care legislation
  • Knowledge of dietary nutrition for the aged, with a focus on providing nutritious and appealing meals
  • Understanding of infection control and the importance of maintaining a safe and healthy environment
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
