MACH Energy is a rapidly expanding mining company based in Newcastle, Australia. Our operations are centered around the Mount Pleasant Open Pit Coal Mine near Muswellbrook.

The Role

We are seeking an accomplished People and Culture Leader to spearhead our team's comprehensive employee lifecycle management. This includes recruitment, employee relations, industrial relations, performance management, and employee development initiatives.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversee attraction, selection, recruitment, performance management, remuneration, benefits, payroll, learning and development, employee and industrial relations, and employee wellbeing activities.
  • Foster a positive work environment through employee engagement initiatives.
  • Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on People and Culture matters.
About You

To excel in this position, you will possess:

  • More than 10 years of experience in senior People and Culture roles within the mining sector or heavy industry, including leading teams.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field.
  • A proven track record of delivering impactful business outcomes through people-focused initiatives.
  • A collaborative approach with strong relationships at all levels, especially with senior leaders.
  • Expertise in end-to-end employee lifecycle management.
  • Strong communication skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and a passion for driving organisational change.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with experience in change management.
  • A proactive, independent work ethic, capable of working autonomously.
