Job Title: Personal Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Personal Care Specialist to provide exceptional care and support to clients in their own homes.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently, with a high level of autonomy, while maintaining strong communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide personal care and assist with daily activities, following individualized care plans.
  2. Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.
  3. Identify client care needs and develop strategies to meet those needs.
  4. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and team members.
  5. Support clients with light housekeeping duties to promote independence.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  1. Certification in Aged Care or Disability (or equivalent).
  2. Current Senior First Aid, CPR, and Manual Handling certifications.
  3. A roadworthy and insured vehicle with a current driver's licence.
  4. NDIS Screening (or willingness to obtain).
  5. Strong expertise in mental health care.
  6. Flexibility with shifts and willingness to travel.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards for home care.
Preferred Skills:
  1. Understanding of person-centred care principles.
  2. Multilingual abilities (an asset).
