We are seeking a compassionate and experienced professional to join our team as a Personal Care Worker. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in mental health care and be able to provide exceptional support to clients with complex needs.Job DescriptionAs a Personal Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, person-centered care to clients in their own homes. This will include assisting with daily activities, such as personal hygiene, toileting, nutrition, and mobility, as well as supporting clients with light housekeeping duties and promoting independence.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and assist with daily activities, following the Client Care Plan.
  • Work closely with Registered Nurses to deliver client-specific care, including personal hygiene, toileting, nutrition, mobility, and more.
  • Identify client care needs and work collaboratively with the client's care team to ensure high-quality, holistic care.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and team members.
  • Support clients with light housekeeping duties to promote independence, including laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Cert III in Aged Care/Disability (or equivalent)
  • Current Senior First Aid [HLTAID011], CPR [HLTAID009] and Manual Handling [HLTWHS005]
  • A roadworthy and insured vehicle with a current driver's licence
  • NDIS Screening (or willingness to get)
  • Strong expertise in mental health care
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility with shifts
