The Surgical Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of a surgical practice, ensuring seamless communication between healthcare professionals and patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Audio typing and sending correspondence via secure systems
  • Booking consultations and surgery theatre sessions
  • Organising patient medical histories prior to consulting and operating
  • Managing patient billing and receipting, including Medicare claims
  • Completing daily banking transactions
  • Liaising with health professionals and organisations
  • Providing patient quotes and managing insured and uninsured services
  • Maintaining equipment sterilisation procedures
  • Preparing hospital admission paperwork and settling prepayment accounts
  • Utilising software on Mac computers for administrative tasks

Additionally, this role involves identifying problems and implementing solutions, managing end-of-month duties, and maintaining software up-to-date.
