About Elective Surgery Access Role

Surgical access management is a crucial function in healthcare organizations, ensuring the efficient coordination and oversight of planned surgical admissions. This role plays a vital part in the Elective Surgery Access Team, responsible for managing and maintaining the integrity of elective surgery waiting lists.

Key responsibilities include:

  • ">
  • Management of elective surgery waiting lists">
  • Compliance with Elective Surgery Access Policy and Elective Surgery Information Systems business rules">
  • Coordination with Surgical Units, Surgical Ward, Day of Surgery Admissions, and Operating Theatres to optimize theatre sessions">
  • Maintenance of accurate records and data analysis">

The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse with current APHRA registration and a minimum of 5 years' post-registration experience. A Post-Graduate or Higher certification in a relevant field is also required. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, demonstrated ability to lead teams through change management, project management, and data analysis skills.
