**Job Title:** Perioperative Coordinator

**Job Summary:

As a skilled and dedicated Perioperative Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the medical and surgical units at The Alfred. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate the pre-admission, admission, and discharge processes for patients undergoing surgery.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Coordinate patient documentation and ensure that all relevant information is available on the day of treatment.
  • Collaborate with medical and surgical teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Ensure timely and safe delivery of patient care by coordinating resources and communicating effectively with healthcare staff.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Significant experience in acute medical/surgical nursing.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience with the multidisciplinary management of surgical patients, including pre-admission, admission, and discharge principles.
  • Current registration with the appropriate professional body (AHPRA).
  • Possess or working towards Postgraduate qualification (desirable).
