Air Freight Export Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Air Freight Export Operations Specialist to join our team at DHL Germany. As a key member of our Airfreight Team, you will be responsible for managing and completing the administration of the Airfreight Import and Airfreight Export forwarding process according to defined procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Process Management: Manage and complete the administration of the Airfreight Import and Airfreight Export forwarding process according to defined procedures.
- Documentation Management: Manage processes, handle and distribute all required documentation in the Airfreight Import forwarding process.
- Customer Service: Ensure customer requirements are met and all required documentation is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Invoicing and Customs: Invoicing of externally cleared shipments, interrogate Customs status' using ICS, complete corrections to rating errors and AWB's.
- Process Corrections: Carry out any corrections and adjustments as necessary to Airfreight Import forwarding process.
- Customer Support: Handle general enquiries as required, manage and follow up on intent to claims, monitor and arrange retrieval of cold chain shipments from airlines.
- Team Support: Provide support and back up to colleagues, additional tasks as instructed by Department Manager / Supervisors.
- General Knowledge: General knowledge of Freight Forwarding, AFR or OFR Operational Experience (advantageous).
- Geographical Knowledge: General geographical knowledge i.e. port locations.
- Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication skills, highly motivated self-starter, results & outcome driven.
- Administration Skills: Strong communication and administration skills, able to work independently, adaptable to changes daily due to customer requests.
- Team Player: High degree of reliability and attention to detail, team player with a positive can-do attitude.
