Job Opportunity: Claims Support Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and highly organized individual to join our team as a Claims Support Specialist. This is a full-time 12-month contract.

This role will involve working closely with clients who have superannuation Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) or private disability insurance claims following an injury or illness. Our goal is to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Duties:

  • Undertake client interviews to establish an entitlement to make a disability insurance claim
  • Review insurance policies and trust deeds applicable to the client's matter
  • Prepare claim forms and legal submissions
  • Draft correspondence to clients and third parties
  • Provide a tailored approach to each client's matter
  • Manage your own file load of client claims
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal and external stakeholders
  • Work closely with the legal teams to advance legal matters for clients

Requirements:

  1. Prior experience in a similar role or case management would be beneficial but not essential
  2. Able to exercise judgment and resolve problems
  3. Natural passion for helping people and high level of empathy
  4. Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  5. Excellent written and drafting skills
  6. Recognition of the importance of attention to detail and time management
  7. Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  8. Able to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
  9. Availability to work 38 hours per week, between the hours of 8:30am - 5pm Monday to Friday
