Senior Leader Role

We are seeking a strategic leader to join our Consumer and Healthcare Group as a senior manager of national transport operations.

The role requires providing strategic direction, operational excellence, and inspirational leadership to a team of 200+ employees and contractors.

  • Develop and deliver the Network Transport strategy, unlocking growth with existing and new customers.
  • Lead, mentor, and empower a national team, building a high-performance culture grounded in integrity and trust.
  • Drive customer engagement and deliver service levels that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with Chain of Responsibility and our Code of Conduct.
  • Implement operational optimisation, technology initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Deliver financial performance in line with budgets and create measurable, sustainable outcomes.
  • Identify and convert business development opportunities, working collaboratively across the business.

About You

You are an accomplished transport leader with deep operational expertise and proven success leading large teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Senior leadership within transport or logistics.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale operations, people, customers, contracts, and financials.
  • Strong commercial, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing capabilities.
  • A track record of driving optimisation and embedding technology to deliver results.
