Job Title: Regional Hotel Operations Manager

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Hotel Operations Manager to lead our team in a regional venue located in Victoria. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a relaxed environment, with accommodation packages provided.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading busy Hotel and Housekeeping teams in hotels, motels or resort style venues. They will be enthusiastic, customer service orientated and have a strong ability to communicate effectively with their team and other heads of department.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work within set parameters to ensure rosters are compiled and adjusted appropriately to demand;
  • Maximise yield through consistent monitoring and effective utilisation of room rates, occupancy and packages using every opportunity to promote hotel facilities in order to maximise sales;
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of venue facilities including number, location and types of rooms;
  • Engage with the Housekeeping team to ensure high standards, efficiencies and effective processes for the accommodation division;
  • Consistently drive growth of our accommodation facilities through sound marketing/upselling and staff training and development;
  • Maintain accuracy of reservations in respect of deposit information, billing, credit details, VIP guest special requests, room rates, return guest and new guest information;
  • Maintain liaison and develop good relationships with existing clients, local residents and businesses, as well as focus on establishing new business; and
  • Focus on quoting, booking and selling all group bookings.

Key Requirements:

We are looking for a can-do, responsible and flexible individual with a comprehensive financial understanding of managing a profitable operation and managing costs particularly controlling wages. Previous experience in leading, developing and mentoring a Hotel team is highly regarded. Additionally, initiative, commitment and passion for your job are essential, as well as the ability to thrive under pressure and direct your team in a high-paced environment.
