About Our Services:
We provide high-quality, person-centered services and support under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Our goal is to foster independence, promote inclusion, and enhance the lives of people with disabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
- Provide transportation assistance to clients.
- Provide respite care to clients and their families.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
- Attend regular meetings with clients and their families to review and adjust their NDIS plans as needed.
- Provide training and education to clients and their families on how to navigate the NDIS system.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a high school or equivalent education.
- At least 1 year of experience working with people with disabilities.
- Experience with dementia is highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience with CRM software and NDIS portals.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work with a diverse client base, understanding the different support needs based on clients' abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
- Basic care and first aid skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
