Job Responsibilities:- We provide dedicated support to clients based on their tailored NDIS plans.
- We assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming, ensuring a high level of comfort and dignity.
- We offer transportation assistance to clients, facilitating access to essential services and activities.
- We provide respite care to clients and their families, offering much-needed breaks and relief.
- We maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress, guaranteeing seamless communication and coordination.
- We effectively communicate with clients, their families, and other members of the care team, ensuring a collaborative approach to care.
- We adhere to rigorous health and safety regulations to ensure the well-being and safety of clients.
- We participate in regular meetings with clients and their families to review and adjust their NDIS plans as needed, prioritizing their evolving needs.
- We provide comprehensive training and education to clients and their families on navigating the NDIS system, empowering them with confidence and knowledge.
- We engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field, guaranteeing exceptional care standards.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- No less than one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Prior experience with dementia is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of the NDIS framework and guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with CRM software and NDIS portals.
- An understanding of health and safety protocols.
- The ability to work with diverse client populations, taking into account their unique support requirements based on abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language needs.
- Basic care and first aid skills.
- The capacity to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
