Job Description

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing personalized support to clients in accordance with their needs. This includes assisting with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, and grooming, as well as providing transportation assistance and respite care.

You will work closely with clients, their families, and other members of the care team to ensure that their needs are met and that they receive the best possible care. You will also be responsible for keeping accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress.

Effective communication is key to this role, and you will need to be able to communicate clearly and respectfully with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of a high school or equivalent education
  • At least 1 year of experience working with people with disabilities
  • Experience with dementia is highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of disability support principles and guidelines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse client base and adapt to different support needs
