Lead a Culinary Team in Our Multi Level Venue

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our dynamic team at one of our popular venues in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and creative chef to lead a team of 8-10 chefs in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

About the Role:

This role comes with a competitive salary of up to $115,000 + superannuation and a range of benefits, including opportunities for career growth and professional development within our company.

As Executive Chef, you will be responsible for managing daily kitchen operations, menu development, and food safety protocols. You will work closely with our Executive Chef to drive innovation and excellence in our culinary offerings.

  • Manage a team of 8-10 chefs, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure exceptional service and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with our Executive Chef on menu development, incorporating your creative ideas and expertise to drive menu innovation.
  • Maintain accurate records of COGS and inventory management, ensuring alignment with our company's directives and budgeting requirements.
  • Liaise with suppliers and conduct regular stocktakes to optimize ordering and minimize waste.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A deep understanding of current high-volume and gastro pub food trends, with a creative flair for thinking outside the box and driving innovation.
  • Previous experience as a senior chef in a similar role and venue size, with a proven track record of success in managing a medium-sized team.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire your team to deliver exceptional results.
