About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Board as a Southern representative. The successful candidate will play a vital role in shaping our strategy and ensuring we effectively utilize resources to benefit Tasmanian communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and reviewing our strategic direction
  • Evaluating and approving grant proposals
  • Authorizing our annual budget and monitoring performance
  • Fostering connections with communities across Southern Tasmania
  • Promoting our objectives within the Tasmanian community

The ideal applicant will possess well-established community networks and experience in areas such as contemporary governance, stakeholder engagement, and community leadership. A collaborative approach, critical thinking, sound judgement, and a commitment to community are essential for this position.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Expertise in contemporary governance and strategic planning
  • Understanding of complex social, economic, and wellbeing needs of Tasmanian communities
  • Experience in legal, accounting, financial management, quality management, media/marketing, or IT expertise
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and community leadership skills
