Job Description

The Property Council of Australia champions the nation's largest industry, employing 1.4 million Australians and shaping cities.

This leadership position leads the coordination and delivery of policy, advocacy, government relations, and corporate communications activities within the framework of member services and commercial programs.

  • Develop and implement business strategies to support strategic initiatives.
  • Lead public debates on issues relevant to the industry.
  • Be the chief advocate for the property industry.
  • Develop policy positions, research, and submissions to support industry interests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the public voice of the property industry.

• Develop and implement the TAS Division's business strategy and long-term goals to support strategic initiatives.

• Lead public debates on issues relevant to the industry.

• Be the chief advocate for the property industry in TAS.

• Develop policy positions, research, and submissions to support industry interests.

• Develop and deliver advocacy and campaign strategies in support of our objectives.

• Contribute positively to the overall performance of the Property Council as a member of the Executive Committee.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a similar leadership role.
  • Strategic and agile thinking with exceptional communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • High-performing leadership style demonstrated at senior levels in the public, private, or not-for-profit sector.
  • Superior experience of complex government, political, and policy development processes.
