In this fast-paced role, you'll play a key part in ensuring our customers (Tasmania's cafes, restaurants, and stores) receive the freshest produce and top-notch service. Key Responsibilities
• Order Picking & Packing: Accurately pick fresh fruit and vegetable orders and pack them for delivery, ensuring quality and correctness of items.
• Forklift Operation: Use your licensed skills to move stock, load/unload pallets, and safely operate a forklift for stock storage and retrieval.
• Stock Handling: Receive incoming produce, conduct quality checks, and put away stock in the appropriate storage (including chilled areas).
• Warehouse Upkeep: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse workspace. Assist with regular stock rotation and ensure compliance with food safety (HACCP) standards.
• Teamwork: Work closely with your team to meet nightly order deadlines and resolve any order issues. Your attention to detail and efficiency will help deliver great service to our customers.
What We're Looking For (Requirements)
• Forklift Licence: Must hold a current forklift licence and be confident in operating a forklift in a warehouse setting.
• Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse picking/packing role or similar logistics environment is highly regarded. Experience handling fresh produce or working in refrigerated areas is a plus.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for accuracy is essential – you double-check orders and ensure customers get exactly what they asked for.
• Reliability & Work Ethic: Punctual, dependable, and able to work the 3pm-11pm shift (including Sunday evenings). You take initiative and can handle a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and quality.
• Team & Customer Focus: A team player with good communication skills. You understand that what you do in the warehouse directly impacts customer satisfaction, and you always aim to provide excellent service (even if you're behind the scenes).
