About the Role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Principal Water Engineer to join our dynamic Water Infrastructure team in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering projects on-time, to a high-quality, and ensuring the ongoing collaboration between internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have extensive years of relevant consultant experience on water and wastewater infrastructure projects within a design (including design & construction) environment. You will be responsible for providing technical direction, mentoring, and training junior members within the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design experience that demonstrates the development and evaluation of options to arrive at a preferred solution – water, recycled water, sewerage – all things Water Infrastructure
  • Knowledge of water industry standards, codes, and common practices
  • Providing technical direction, mentorship, and training to junior team members
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects on-time and to a high-quality
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and dedicating the correct resources to each project
