About the Role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Principal Water Engineer to join our dynamic Water Infrastructure team in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering projects on-time, to a high-quality, and ensuring the ongoing collaboration between internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have extensive years of relevant consultant experience on water and wastewater infrastructure projects within a design (including design & construction) environment. You will be responsible for designing and evaluating options to arrive at a preferred solution for water, recycled water, and sewerage projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical direction and mentor junior members within the team.
  • Design and develop water infrastructure projects, including planning and construction.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project delivery on-time and to a high-quality.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to complex water infrastructure challenges.
  • Champion new ideas and encourage initiative and innovative techniques and actions.
Requirements
  • Extensive years of relevant consultant experience on water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Design experience that demonstrates the development and evaluation of options to arrive at a preferred solution.
  • Knowledge of water industry standards, codes, and common practices.
  • Ability to provide technical direction and mentor junior members within the team.
  • Confidence to utilise your reputation in bringing business to AECOM through networking and delivering high-quality work.
