About the Role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Principal Water Engineer to join our dynamic Water Infrastructure team in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering projects on-time, to a high-quality, and ensuring the ongoing collaboration between internal and external stakeholders.

As a Principal Water Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of water infrastructure projects, including network and treatment planning and design for water, wastewater, and recycled water projects. You will be responsible for managing projects, clients, and mentoring junior engineers, while also utilizing your technical skills to plan and design water infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver water infrastructure projects on-time and to a high-quality
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Provide technical direction and mentor junior engineers
  • Develop and evaluate options to arrive at a preferred solution for water infrastructure projects
  • Stay up-to-date with water industry standards, codes, and common practices
Requirements
  • Extensive years of relevant consultant experience on water and wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Design experience that demonstrates the development and evaluation of options for water infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of water industry standards, codes, and common practices
  • Ability to provide technical direction and mentor junior engineers
  • Confidence to utilize your reputation to bring business to AECOM through networking and delivering high-quality work
