Junior Application Support Engineer

This is an entry level position that offers the opportunity to strengthen a team in our Sydney office. In this role, you will provide operational support for cloud-based environments on Microsoft Azure.

The ideal candidate will have intermediate skills in Microsoft SQL Server and PowerShell, as well as experience with Windows, virtualization, and networks. You will work within a highly technical team and be responsible for incident response and automation opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support daily operations of production cloud environments
  • Improve monitoring, stability, and reliability of the platform
  • Be responsible for incident response, end to end
  • Identify and execute upon automation opportunities
  • Manage automated and manual deployments
  • VM maintenance, upgrading, hardening, and patching
Requirements:
  • Degree or tertiary qualification in IT, networking, computer science, or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years industry experience in an operations/infrastructure or equivalent role
