Cloud Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Operations Specialist to manage and design our Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD pipelines, containerised applications, and cloud infrastructure using industry best practices.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Cloud Operations Specialist to contribute to the success of our clients. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring seamless application deployment and consistent environment performance across development, staging, and production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deploy, manage, and scale Kubernetes clusters using lightweight or edge cluster management tools
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cluster nodes, workloads, and networking
  • Maintain high availability and fault tolerance of managed clusters
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Argo CD, or similar
  • Automate deployment workflows for microservices and containerized applications
  • Version control all infrastructure-related code and promote GitOps methodologies
  • Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog
  • Implement DevSecOps practices to ensure secure deployments and infrastructure hardening
Requirements:
  • Australian working rights
Skills & Experience:
  • Experience with Rancher RKE2 or K3s for lightweight or edge cluster management
  • Experience in Cloud Operations, SRE, or infrastructure automation roles
  • Proficient with Kubernetes architecture, Helm, ingress controllers, and service meshes
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Argo CD, etc.)
  • Knowledge of security best practices in Cloud Operations and containerization
