About the Role
As a Front Desk Coordinator, you will represent the hotel and be the first point of contact for our guests. Your responsibilities will include welcoming guests, managing check-ins and check-outs, operating the switchboard, and addressing any inquiries or requests from guests. You will handle various payment methods in line with accounting protocols and adhere to property control audit standards and cash handling procedures. Front Desk Coordinators play a vital role in delivering outstanding guest experiences from the moment of reservation to departure. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for collaborating with different departments and assisting guests effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys. Process all forms of payment, including room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit. Respond to, document, and manage all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns. Collaborate with Housekeeping to monitor room readiness for check-in. Communicate parking procedures to guests and coordinate with bell staff or valet staff as necessary. Provide guests with directions and information about the property and local attractions. Generate daily reports on arrivals and departures, noting any special requests and ensuring report accuracy. Complete required cashier and closing reports in the system. Process guests' personal checks and traveler's checks. Count cash at the beginning and end of shifts, balancing and dropping receipts per accounting guidelines.Ideal Candidates Will Have:
Completed or currently pursuing a degree in Hospitality or a related field. Previous experience in Front Office Operations is preferred. A strong background in customer service or Front Office roles is advantageous. Availability for shift work on a rotating schedule. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A collaborative spirit with a passion for enhancing guest experiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with prior experience in Opera PMS being highly regarded.Benefits Offered:
