Overview

The primary objective of this role is to maintain a customer-centric approach by providing exceptional service in a friendly and knowledgeable manner. The individual will be responsible for ensuring that all kitchenware, surfaces, and service tools are kept in pristine condition, ready for use. This position also involves assisting the Kitchen and Food Service teams to uphold the highest standards of service for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensure all kitchen items, including cutlery, crockery, and cooking equipment, are cleaned to the required standards.
  2. Safely store all kitchenware and report any breakages immediately.
  3. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and surrounding areas.
  4. Follow established cleaning protocols for equipment and adhere to daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
  5. Report any equipment malfunctions or damages to a Senior Chef or Head Kitchen Steward.
  6. Uphold high standards of work practices and methods.
  7. Operate all equipment according to safety guidelines provided by manufacturers.
  8. Assist with food deliveries as directed by the Senior Chef.
  9. Report any damage or wear in the work areas promptly.
  10. Present oneself consistently well-groomed and in the designated uniform.
  11. Comply with all security, cash handling, and key management procedures.
  12. Deliver superior customer service consistently.
  13. Participate in training sessions as required.
  14. Adhere to Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, Fire, and Emergency procedures as outlined by the hotel and company policies.
  15. Contribute ideas for enhancing departmental operations and customer service standards.
  16. Follow all hotel and company regulations as specified in the Team Member handbook and displayed on notice boards.

Job Type: Zero hours contract

Pay: Up to £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 45 per week
