The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Business Development to spearhead our success within the Government and Defence sector. This full-time, permanent position is based in Canberra, offering a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a global team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a high-performance team to acquire new clients and expand existing accounts, focusing on tailored solutions for Request for Tenders (RFTs) and key contract relationships.
  • Design and implement strategic plans to drive commercial success, collaborating with offshore Business Development teams to develop and deliver international solutions.
  • Manage key account relationships, ensuring high-level customer interactions and satisfaction, and uncover new business prospects through targeted marketing strategies.
  • Work closely with the Growth Solutions team to craft impactful customer presentations and marketing materials, capturing and navigating leads through the government procurement process.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
  • NV1 clearance preferred, or the ability to obtain it as an Australian Citizen.
  • Established network within the defence sector.
  • Proven track record in business development and sales, particularly with government clients.
  • Ideally, experience in selling logistics services or similar.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence at senior levels.
