Position Overview

As a Culinary Operations Specialist, you will be tasked with preparing dishes according to the chef's precise instructions. Your responsibilities will also include organizing workstations as necessary for efficient menu execution. The role involves supporting the chef in daily culinary operations, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Adhere to safety regulations and best practices.
  2. Keep your workstation and surrounding areas clean and sanitary.
  3. Maintain a professional appearance and hygiene standards, including a clean uniform and hair restraint.
  4. Foster a collaborative environment and provide courteous service to all customers.
  5. Implement a first-in, first-out system for a la carte production.
  6. Follow company protocols for clocking in and out.
  7. Participate in mandatory training sessions and meetings.
  8. Complete assigned opening, running, and closing tasks.
  9. Execute all essential functions with urgency and efficiency.
  10. Report directly to the Sous Chef and ensure timely preparation of a la carte items.
  11. Prepare salads, soups, sauces, meats, and other dishes according to established recipes and management guidelines.
  12. Uphold sanitation standards, including HACCP practices as directed by the executive chef.
  13. Ensure proper portion control when utilizing food items for assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

  1. At least 2 years of experience in a similar culinary role.
  2. Comprehensive understanding of restaurant best practices and cooking techniques.
  3. Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  4. Capability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently within a team.
  6. Physical capability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
  7. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  8. Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening, and demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States.
