In this part-time position, you will manage the catering operations, assisting in the planning and preparation of nutritious, high-quality meals for residents, adhering to Food Safety Program standards. As part of a dedicated Hospitality team, your culinary expertise will significantly enhance the dining experience, aligning with our mission to support residents in their health and lifestyle choices.
Key Responsibilities:Primary Duties Include:
- Food handling, preparation, and cooking of meals.
- Presentation and timely delivery of quality dishes.
- Basic record keeping (e.g., daily meal counts, missed meals).
- Inventory management, including ordering and storage of food and cleaning supplies.
- Maintaining a safe, hygienic, and organized kitchen environment.
- Certificate III in Cookery (preferred).
- Demonstrated compassion and maturity in meal preparation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Experience in commercial kitchens and hospitality settings (preferred).
- Flexibility with work hours, including weekends.
- Good understanding of food safety practices (HACCP knowledge preferred).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
