In this part-time role, you will manage the culinary operations at the facility, contributing to the planning and preparation of nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents, in compliance with Food Safety Program standards. As a vital member of our Hospitality team, your culinary expertise will enhance the dining experience for our residents, aligning with our commitment to health, wellbeing, and lifestyle choices.
Key Responsibilities:Primary Duties Include:
- Food handling, preparation, and cooking of meals.
- Presentation of dishes and ensuring timely delivery of quality meals.
- Basic record keeping (e.g., daily meal counts, missed meals).
- Inventory management, ordering supplies, receiving, checking, weighing, and storing.
- Maintaining a safe, hygienic, and organized kitchen environment.
- Certificate III in Cookery (preferred).
- Demonstrated compassion and maturity in providing high-quality meals.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Experience in commercial kitchen and hospitality roles (preferred).
- Flexibility with work hours, including weekends.
- Good understanding of food safety practices (preferably HACCP).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
