Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to provide expert legal advice and support to our business. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality legal services that meet the strategic and operational needs of our organization.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver timely and cost-effective legal advice on corporate and commercial matters, including financial services, general commercial law, competition and consumer protection law, regulatory inquiries, intellectual property, data protection and privacy law.
  • Draft, negotiate and advise on insurance distribution and service contracts as well as commercial contracts.
  • Support with Company Secretarial functions and identify and manage governance issues.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10+ years qualified legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of an Australian State or Territory.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law with a current unrestricted practising certificate.
  • Extensive Corporate/Commercial experience essential with Financial Services product, general insurance and/or travel insurance exposure beneficial but not essential.
