Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Perth, Western Australia.

This role involves providing geotechnical services to clients, working with a diverse team of professionals, and contributing to project delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers and technicians to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Conduct geotechnical analyses, including deep excavations, slope stability, foundations, retaining walls, and pavement designs.
  • Analyse data to develop practical and commercial solutions for clients.
  • Interact with clients throughout the project lifecycle, including pursuit, tendering, and delivery phases.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Requirements
  • Degree-level qualifications in geotechnical/geological/civil engineering, with postgraduate qualifications beneficial.
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in geotechnical consulting, including fieldwork and site investigation reporting.
  • Strong technical leadership, mentoring, and advice skills, with ability to prioritise, coordinate, and lead teams.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software, including AS1726-2017, and willingness to learn numerical modelling software (Plaxis 2D/3D and Abaqus).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with focus on client service and good people relationships.
  • Strong personal commitment to Health and Safety, with alignment to HSE procedures.
  • Project management skills, with good judgement and decisiveness, bias for action.
  • Ability to travel and work on remote sites, with a current manual driver's license.
