Geotechnical Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Specialist to join our team of experts in the field. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on exciting projects and contribute to delivering high-quality results.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a relevant degree in Geology, Geoscience, or Civil Engineering, with at least 2 years of experience working in a Geo role. They will be familiar with geotechnical data management packages such as OpenGround and gINT, and GIS applications like GlobalMapper.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake field and office-based assignments under the guidance of senior engineers to ensure tasks are completed to quality and safety standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of geotechnical designs, technical reports, specifications, and engineering drawings to contribute to high-quality project deliverables.
  • Interpret field and laboratory data to support the development of geotechnical models and design recommendations.
  • Coordinate the accurate entry, validation, and ongoing management of geotechnical data within project databases to ensure integrity and traceability.
  • Prepare clear, well-structured technical reports and documentation to deliver outputs on schedule with review and mentorship from senior team members.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree in Geology, Geoscience, or Civil Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a Geo role, preferably on mining, rail, or infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with geotechnical data management packages and GIS applications.
  • Strong report writing and excellent communication skills.
