Lead Geotechnical Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead our geotechnical consulting services in Perth. This role offers a balance of technical expertise, project management, leadership and client-facing problem solving.
This position involves working with a diverse group of geotechnical specialists, including engineers, engineering geologists, pavement engineers and geo-technicians at a national and international level.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering projects and ensuring high technical standards;
- Undertaking geotechnical analyses in areas such as deep excavations, slope stability, foundations and retaining walls;
- Interpreting and analysing data to develop practical and commercial solutions;
- Interacting with clients through the pursuit, tendering and delivery phases of projects;
- Providing technical mentoring for junior team members.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Degree-level qualifications in geotechnical or civil engineering;
- A minimum of 8 years relevant experience in geotechnical consulting, including fieldwork and site investigation reporting;
- Strong technical leadership and mentoring skills;
- Ability to prioritise, co-ordinate and lead teams;
- Experience with numerical modelling software, particularly Plaxis and Abaqus;
- Focussed on client service and good people relationships;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Project management skills and judgement.
