Job Description

We are seeking a professional to fill the role of Geotechnical Specialist. This position involves working with Tier 1 energy and resource clients on geotechnical projects.

About the Role
  • Coordinate geotechnical field investigation programs
  • Manage geotechnical laboratory testing programs
  • Collaborate with Engineers-of-Record (EoR) on long-term operational projects
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and papers
  • Develop geotechnical assessments and analysis capabilities
  • BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH CLIENTS
  • Participate in National and International Conferences
Requirements
  • Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (required)
  • Eligibility for membership of Engineers Australia and either current CPENG status or working towards it (required)
  • 1-5+ years of experience operating within a geotechnical practice group
  • Experience with using geotechnical logging software
  • Competent in GIS or CAD package/s
  • Working knowledge of geotechnical investigation standards and practices
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety planning, processes, and procedures
  • Past experience with geotechnical investigations at mine sites
  • Experience with geotechnical interpretation and analysis
  • Familiarity with dam safety guidelines
  • Civil or tailings engineering general knowledge
  • Experience in GIS, CAD, or Tailings Modelling software
