In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of geotechnical engineering, driving forward-thinking solutions and enhancing capabilities.

This position entails collaboration across various projects, including heavy haul rail initiatives and mine developments. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with colleagues to deliver exceptional outcomes and foster strong client relationships.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out field and office-based assignments under senior engineer guidance, ensuring tasks are completed to quality and safety standards.
  • Assist in preparing geotechnical designs, technical reports, specifications, and engineering drawings, contributing to high-quality project deliverables.
  • Interpret field and laboratory data to support geotechnical model development and design recommendations.
  • Coordinate accurate entry, validation, and management of geotechnical data within project databases, ensuring integrity and traceability.
  • Prepare clear, well-structured technical reports and documentation, delivering outputs on schedule with review and mentorship from senior team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in Geology, Geoscience, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Geo role, preferably on mining, rail, or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with geotechnical data management packages, such as OpenGround, gINT, and GIS applications, like GlobalMapper.
  • Willingness to participate in regular fieldwork.
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team-driven environment.
  • Strong report writing and excellent communication skills.
