Senior Payroll Strategist

The Senior Payroll Strategist will lead a high-performing payroll team, overseeing accurate and compliant global payroll. This role requires extensive experience in payroll operations, including leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the payroll team to ensure timely and accurate payment of employees
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, superannuation requirements, and Fair Work obligations across multiple jurisdictions
- Streamline processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Act as the go-to expert for payroll queries, compliance, and audits
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including HR, Finance, and vendors
- Identify and deliver continuous improvements to enhance service delivery
Requirements
- Extensive payroll operations experience, including 1-2+ years in a leadership role
- Proven success managing payroll across multiple countries, with Australia and New Zealand being essential
- Strong grasp of legislation, Awards, PAYG, superannuation, and compliance requirements
- Excellent stakeholder management skills – confident, clear, and influential
- Leadership style that develops and motivates people
- Able to work at pace and lead change
- Mindset for improvement – someone who thrives on making systems and better
