The Payroll Agency has partnered with a large warehousing and distribution company in the recruitment of a newly created Senior Payroll Officer position on a permanent basis.

This company is well know nationally and due to some internal movement, they are looking to fill a Senior Payroll Officer role. This will report into the Payroll Manager and indirectly manage 1 person, a Payroll Admin.

This is an amazing team; although larger in size, they really make everyone feel like family.

Your daily duties will include:

  • High volume, end to end payroll.
  • Compliance such as tax, super and all third party payment calculations and payments.
  • Workers compensation claims management.
  • Managing escalated queries.
  • Checking work of others.
  • Training and supporting 1 Payroll Admin.
  • They have a complex payroll so ensuring compliance of their enterprise agreements and training the other team members.
  • Project work such as documentation of processes and system upgrades.

In order to be considered please ensure you have experience in end to end payroll, including all statutory deductions such as tax, super and workers compensation.

Also, coming from a blue collar background is important due to the requirement of enterprise agreement and award interpretation knowledge.

In return you will be receive $100k - $110k + Super + benefits - they do offer other compensation opportunities to bulk up the package. They work hybrid structure but please ensure you can go into office multiple days a week, unfortunately, they do not offer much flexibility due to their current payroll process.
