Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Consumer Collection Manager to join our team. As a key member of our collections function, you will play a vital role in managing financial hardship and driving workflow optimisation to improve cash flow and reduce bad debt.

Your primary responsibility will be to drive the performance of our BPO collection and Financial Hardship teams through effective collaboration with BPO management. You will also ensure timely, accurate and complete processing of all manual work lists.

Requirements
  • Tertiary degree in finance, accounting or business management or equivalent;
  • Minimum 5 years direct Collections management experience managing a team of direct reports and BPO/Offshore team(s) operating in a high-volume transactional environment;
  • Strong people leadership skills with ability to maximise performance of individuals by setting goals and providing development opportunities;
  • Experience working with automated collection systems and ability to analyse results and identify issues or new requirements;
  • Working knowledge of ASIC/ACCC Debt Collection guidelines and Telecommunications Code of Practice (TCP) & Financial Hardship Legislation.
