Job Title: Financial Hardship Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Financial Hardship Specialist. This is a dynamic role that requires strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to think creatively and empathize with customers.

About the Role:
  • Navigate financial hardship claims with emotional intelligence and empathy.
  • Assess the account holder's financial position.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements.
  • Work towards having the account holder back into regular paying status.
  • Review supporting documentation to make informed decisions.
Responsibilities:
  1. Manage financial hardship cases from initial contact through to resolution.
  2. Develop and implement effective strategies to resolve accounts in a timely manner.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and efficient case progression.
  4. Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry best practices.
  5. Maintain accurate records and reports.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a financial services or collections environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with financial software and systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
