Mine Planning Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated mining professional to support the production of long-term mine plans.
The successful candidate will display strong technical skills in mine planning, along with fostering a collaborative work culture.
About the Job- Develop detailed medium-term mine designs up to 18 months;
- Evaluate and recommend optimal mine planning options to improve operational efficiency;
- Collaborate closely with operational, projects and engineering teams to deliver the plan;
- Mentor and coach other team members to enhance their skills and knowledge;
- Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements and site standards;
- Apply a continuous improvement approach to all aspects of the role.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, problem-solving and time management skills, as well as experience with CAD design software packages.
Essential Skills and Qualifications- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related field;
- Significant experience in large-scale mining operations, preferably in coal;
- Proficiency in CAD design software such as Deswik, Minex or Vulcan;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Leadership, mentoring and coaching abilities;
- Advanced MS Office skills.
