Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tyre Technician to join our team at the Mt Thorley mine site in the Hunter Valley, NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking planned and reactive tyre changes/maintenance on a range of mobile mining equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Undertake planned and reactive tyre changes on a range of mobile mining equipment
  • Perform routine inspections and assess wheel components to remain in service; enter data into our tyre management system
  • Maintain pressures and quality in accordance with site specifications
  • Provide an excellent level of service to clients

About You

  • A minimum of 2 years of Earthmover tyre fitting experience on mine sites is preferred
  • A Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical Tyre Fitting Heavy or equivalent qualification is desired
  • A valid Open Class driving licence is required
  • Possess a high level of initiative and ability to work well under pressure
  • An understanding that safety is paramount, with a high attention to detail to abide by site safety procedures
