The role of this position involves supporting the development of long-term mine plans, forecasting and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce life-of-mine plans including schedules, financials and forward work plans;
  • Contribute to reserves and schedules for budget and 5-year plan processes;
  • Evaluate mine planning options to improve operational efficiency;
  • Maintain medium-term designs out to 18 months;
  • Liaise with operational, projects and E&C teams to ensure delivery of the plan;
  • Coach and mentor other team members;
  • Monitor compliance to legislative requirements and site standards;
  • Apply continuous improvement methodology.

To be successful in this role you will need a tertiary qualification in mining engineering or a related field, experience in large-scale mining operations preferably in coal, and proficiency in CAD design software packages such as Deswik, Minex or Vulcan.
