About the Job
Job Summary- This role involves mine planning, drill and blast engineering, pit geology and survey.
- The job requires supporting production of long-term plans, contributing reserves and schedules, evaluating mine planning options, maintaining inventory designs and liaising with operational teams.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Role and Responsibilities- Support the development of long-term plans, annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Contribute to reserve estimation and scheduling processes.
- Evaluate and improve operational efficiency through mine planning options.
- Coach and mentor other team members.
Requirements:
Required Skills and Qualifications- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related field.
- Mining experience in large-scale operations, preferably in coal.
- Experience with CAD design software packages such as Deswik, Minex or Vulcan.
- Strong communication and time management skills, problem-solving ability and leadership skills.
- Possess a thorough understanding of mining principles and practices.
- Ability to interpret geological data and maintain accurate records.
