Account Manager Role Overview

This is a key role within the Kennedy Reid team, focusing on managing and growing a portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and maintain strong relationships with insurers and service providers.

About the Role
The Account Manager will be responsible for servicing a portfolio of accounts by ensuring high-quality customer service to existing and new clients. This includes working closely with the Account Director across larger accounts, generating new business opportunities, and implementing renewal and broking strategies in collaboration with other team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain strong relationships and trust with clients based on demonstrated ability to manage accounts smoothly and professionally.
  • Develop and maintain meaningful working relationships with insurers and service providers.
  • Implement renewal and broking strategies collaborating with other team members and claims staff to ensure client interests are protected.
  • Proactively manage and resolve client issues, including answering and responding to daily client enquiries.
  • Gather client information to support renewal documentation, including the production of relevant reports in accordance with Branch standards.
  • Generate initiatives toward maximising account profitability.

Requirements and Qualifications
The successful candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in an Account Executive or Account Manager role, with demonstrated success managing and growing a portfolio of clients. They will also possess:

  • Tier 1 qualification with the confidence to service and manage their own book autonomously.
  • Good knowledge across most lines of business.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision, with a great level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A professional, confident, and presentable demeanor.
