Strategic Business Development Manager

We are the Victorian Government's development arm, revitalising iconic public buildings, creating important community, creative and sporting facilities, and repurposing public land for everyone.
Your New RoleAs Commercial Director's partner, you will provide commercial and financial management services for a portfolio of projects, ensuring strategic objectives are met while balancing responsibilities from corporate, finance, and business unit perspectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with development teams to prepare and review plans, forecasts, and budgets at divisional and project levels for Corporate Planning and Investment Committee Papers.
- Stakeholder Management on financial and commercial outcomes.
- Develop financial models and strategies, offering decision support and analysis, contributing to planning and forecasting, and providing essential input into project outcomes and decisions.
- Report changes to approved financial plans, forecasts, and budgets promptly to enable effective overall risk and opportunity management.
- Develop project feasibility and financial models to facilitate scenario analysis, pricing strategies, procurement, and strategic decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the development and finance teams to achieve strategic outcomes.
- Offer Market Commercial Insights and stay updated on industry timing, costing, and trends.
- Actively manage risks by systematically identifying, analysing, evaluating, and treating risks that may impact project objectives.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
