Transport Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Transport Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth movement of goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create efficient transport plans that meet customer needs and reduce costs
  • Manage transport requirements in alignment with vendor agreements and optimize backloads for maximum utilization
  • Maintain accurate records of transport activities for performance analysis and communicate delivery times to customers
  • Coordinate inter-company equipment transport and negotiate with vendors to secure the best rates
  • Monitor vendor performance and address any issues promptly
  • Process purchase orders, invoices, and cost reallocations efficiently and maintain accurate documentation
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in transport planning or coordination
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft tools and ERP systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively in fast-paced environments and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
